The American Gold Rush brought 8,000 men to the mining camp of Vivian (now Oatman) to seek their fortune.  Looking for flakes of the elusive gold more than a mile under the earth's surface!  It was tough, dangerous work!  A good soap would clean them up for the  town's social events.
