    1-1-1915 Prohibition came into effect in  Arizona five years before the national ban of alcohol began.  Oatman gold miners responded by creating the BOOTLEGGER'S UNION #1. The Oatman Drug Company built the Soda Fountain where town folks gathered until Prohibition was repealed on 9-5-1933
